Stitching Stories Reimagined

Project Manger + Artist

Stitching Stories Reimagined is a public art project for the non-profit Arise Collective, funded by ZSR and the Mellon Foundation. The project began as a quilt woven together by incarcerated women at NCCIW in Raleigh, NC during the Covid Pandemic. The quilt represented their stories of struggle and redemption. Arise Collective received a grant to bring their stories to life in a permanent public artwork. Collaborating with three lead artists, I both managed the project over 3 years but also helped in the design of the vinyl wrap, mirror wall, and information panels. The shipping container that holds the piece was moved to multiple locations around North Carolina from October 2025 through April 2026 where it landed at its permanent home in Raleigh.
